Frequently Asked Questions

Why do we reject some consent forms?

Most likely, the form is either not signed or does not explicitly mention Education Verification / Degree Verification. It must be clear that consent is given for this purpose, or the form itself must be eligible.

There are several requirements that need to be met by both AuraData and the schools. Here are some common reasons why a consent form might be rejected:

  • More than 3 pages
  • The date is older than 6 months
  • The purpose isn’t clearly stated (e.g., "education verification, academic credential check")
  • The name isn’t printed clearly
  • The signature is not acceptable
  • The form is illegible
  • The school requires a handwritten signature or a valid e-signature with an IP address

Important: Sherbrooke will only accept wet signatures. They will reject any typed, copy/pasted, or electronic signatures.

If your form was rejected, it’s likely due to one of these factors. Please review the form to ensure it meets the above requirements.
